Healthcare and Nutrition
ELPA promotes access to health care services and general well-being of communities through advocating for the stocking of local dispensaries and hospitals with requisite equipment and drugs.Â
Promoting consumption of organic foods, access to clean and safe drinking water, hygiene and sanitation.
ELPA also promotes community access to health and nutritional information on health, risks, and measures to reduce risks at the individual and community levels. The health information is majorly on RMNCAH, Mental Health and Communicable diseases like Malaria, Tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS,
Environmental Conservation and Climate change
ELPA contributes to environmental conservation by offering capacity building to small-scale farmers on smart agriculture technologies for sustainable productivity, improved nutrition and poverty alleviation
ELPA partners with other organizations and individuals/well-wishers to promote tree planting, spring protection and conservation of riparian areas
Promoting Climate change mitigation and adaptation measures.

Education
ELPA enhances access to education by partnering with organizations to provide scholarships for vulnerable children and raising awareness about education in underserved communities. It promotes menstrual hygiene and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) awareness in schools, providing sanitary towels to support girls' education. ELPA also supplies educational materials such as desks, stationery, uniforms, and shoes, and runs mentorship programs to support students' personal growth. Additionally, it advocates against harmful practices like FGM, SGBV, early marriages, and other retrogressive behaviors that hinder education in Kenya.
Peace building and Culture
ELPA supports peace building efforts by facilitating community dialogues, promoting utilization of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms(ADRs) in resolving conflicts and strengthening the capacity of community peace and security structures such as; peace committees, council of elders, police and grassroots peace organizations to effectively carryout its mandate.
ELPA Promotes indigenous culture by supporting cultural events, documentation of indigenous peoples’ language, history and traditions, ways of life that are friendly to the environment and promote establishment of indigenous cultural museums and preserve the culture of indigenous people.

Livelihoods
The livelihoods initiatives focus on empowering vulnerable groups through various interventions. These include rehabilitating school dropouts, particularly teen mothers, by providing life skills training to help them start businesses and improve their livelihoods. Grass-root women are supported in forming and registering self-help groups to engage in income-generating activities. Additionally, the initiatives provide access to financial services, including table banking and market linkages. They also promote smart agricultural technologies, such as urban farming (kitchen, vertical, and cone gardens), organic farming, and cultivating climate-resilient crops, along with value addition to farm produce for increased profitability.
Community-led Advocacy
ELPA builds capacity of community organizations to be at the forefront in advocating access to government services, accountability in the utilization of public resources, freedom of expression and collective efforts towards resolving community issue.
